Text-To-Speech In Android apps Is Getting A Significant Improvement

Google is updating its Speech Services by Google speech engine, which it claims would give Android customers who utilise its text-to-speech services “clearer, more lifelike voices.”

According to reports, a new voice model and synthesiser have been included for all 421 voices in 67 languages and were “developed utilising fresher speaker data.”

Over the upcoming few weeks, the Speech Services by Google APK, which includes this upgrade, will be made available to all 64-bit Android devices via the Google Play Store.

    How do I advance?
If you already utilise text-to-speech or any other Speech Services provided by the Google engine, there is nothing you need to do because everything will be taken care of once you have received the most recent version automatically.

You may listen to some samples of this enhanced audio here(opens in new tab), where Google has provided some information about it.

The company said that the enhanced audio quality was brought on by the addition of a new speech model and synthesiser for 64-bit.

Google Play Books and Google Translate are only two applications that make advantage of Google’s text-to-speech technology.

This year, the company has also been active in introducing accessibility upgrades in other situations.

You may now customise accessibility choices for each individual office software product, such as Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Drawings, as opposed to having a single set of accessibility preferences applied to all of them.

According to a Google Workspace representative, the modification should make it easier for people who use screen readers, braille readers, and screen magnifiers to ensure that their accessibility settings are tailored to their specific needs.
