The incident happened on September 15, Thursday, in the Jharkhand district. The 27-year-old woman fought to keep her father’s tractor from being seized by a loan collection company because of unpaid loan obligations.
According to news agency PTI, which cited the police, the woman’s farmer father had borrowed Rs 1.3 lakh from Mahindra Finance to pay for a tractor. He got a message from Mahindra Finance asking him to pay his debt on Thursday on his phone. Additionally, he was informed that his tractor would be taken if the debt was not paid, according to PTI.
The man hurried to where his tractor was parked at a gas station to discover a loan recovery agent driving off with it. He rushed after it and offered the agent Rs. 1.2 lakh as payment, but the agent ignored him. When his pregnant daughter attempted to interfere, the tractor’s wheels trampled her under.
