As part of the official launch of its “fall lineup” today, Fitbit updated its two most expensive smartwatches and added the Inspire 3 fitness tracker. The Google-owned company decided against making any radical design changes this year and instead decided to gradually improve the Versa 4 and Sense 2’s aesthetics. Except if you count the physical button that took the place of the capacitive one from the previous year.
The general idea is maintained inside as well. Thanks to its new continuous EDA sensor, the Sense 2 offers all-day stress management compared to its predecessor. This can help you become aware of potential stress triggers and establish a practise for managing stress that gradually increases resilience. It boasts 40 fitness modes, which is a twofold increase from the Versa 4, GPS, and more than 1,000 workouts and mindfulness sessions that are locked behind the Fitbit Premium paywall. It appears like Fitbit has no intentions to discontinue the paid subscription. It also gives you the most thorough sleep tracking and the Daily Readiness Score, which tells you “Whether to push hard or take a rest day.”
Since they were probably already in development when Google acquired Fitbit, none of these devices support Wear OS. However, Google promises that the Versa 4 and Sense 2 will soon support its Wallet and Maps apps.
Additionally, these two have real-time statistics, continuous heart rate monitoring, and “more than six days of battery life.” Fast charging may provide a day’s worth of juice in 12 minutes.
The Inspire 3 is Fitbit’s most recent version of their entry-level tracker. It monitors activities, heart rate, calories, distance, sleep, and stress in a redesigned thin, light, and now vividly colored package. It can last up to 10 days on a charge depending on your usage, and 3 or more days with the always-on display function
The Versa 4, Sense 2, and Inspire 3 are each $229.95, $299.95, and $99.95 respectively. You always receive a free, six-month Premium membership that renews on its own. Fitbit.com and “selected global retailers” are currently accepting pre-orders for all three variants. While the other two will be available “this fall,” the Inspire 3 will be made available in September.
