Ather wants to convert India, the second most populous nation and the third biggest oil consumer, to electric vehicles by promoting electric vehicles.
With the unveiling of the AtherGrid, a network of 30 carefully positioned charging stations throughout Bengaluru, India, Ather hopes to have its system operational before releasing its flagship product, the Ather 450 electric scooter. Featuring a top speed of 80 km/h, a 3.9-second 0-40 acceleration time, and a 75-kilometer battery, the Ather 450 is the first smart electric scooter in India.
The Ather 450 has an aggressive appearance and a storm-trooper colour scheme with some adorable green highlights. It undoubtedly looks the part of a smart electric two-wheeler. It has a 7-inch touchscreen dashboard with inbuilt navigation capabilities, including stored places and alternate route options. It also includes the Ather app, which allows for charge monitoring, remote vehicle health monitoring, and push navigation from a phone to the dashboard of a car. Additionally, the Ather 450 can get better over time with regular upgrades and the addition of new features and functionalities thanks to over-the-air (OTA) updates.
The Ather 450 has a fierce look and a colour scheme reminiscent of a stormtrooper with some cute green accents. It certainly has the appearance of a sophisticated electric two-wheeler. Its dashboard features a 7-inch touchscreen and built-in navigation with saved locations and alternative route choices. It also comes with the Ather app, which enables push navigation from a phone to an automobile’s dashboard, remote vehicle health monitoring, and charge monitoring.
