The Brio 100 webcam was just released by Logitech in foreign countries. The latest model has drawn interest since it offers 1080P resolution and RightLight technology for 50% brighter video conversations. The problem, though, is that China’s Brio 90 appears to be the identical webcam under a different name.
Logitech appears to be rebranding its previous Brio 90 series.
The Brio 90 and Brio 100 both include Full HD 1080p resolution and RightLight brightness enhancement, according to the Logitech website in China. There are three additional colour options for the Brio 90: pearl white, rose pink, and graphite black. For both versions, the cost is still a mystery.
The two models are identical in terms of their dimensions and weight. They weigh just 75 grammes and have dimensions of 31.91 mm in height, 72.91 mm in width, and 66.64 mm in depth. Each has a 1.5-meter cable included for simple installation.
The Brio 100 and Brio 90’s obvious resemblances raise concerns about Logitech’s marketing approach. Are they merely renaming a product for several geographic markets, or are there more subtle changes that have not yet been revealed?
The important takeaway for customers is that these two webcams appear to offer the same functions. One thing is certain while the IT community waits for more information, including pricing: whether you choose a Brio 100 or a Brio 90, you’ll probably end up with identical performance.
