Jaguar Unveiled A New XJ Sedan And Announced Plans To Release Three New Electric Vehicles Beyond 2025.

Jaguar is abandoning the past as it prepares for an electric future. The next-generation XJ sedan will lead a trio of futuristic electric cars (EVs) that will debut after 2025, according to an insider tip from Autocar. These vehicles are very different from Jaguar’s current lineup, which includes the departing I-Pace.

The car’s range will range from 385 to 475 miles.

The vehicles will have nothing in common with the MLA architecture planned for Range Rover’s electric sister because they were created expressly for Jaguar’s new JEA platform. The company’s chief creative officer, Gerry McGovern, made it clear that “We don’t want older-looking cars and newer-looking cars.”

Jaguar doesn’t only prioritise appearances. These EVs will have powerful motors that produce at least 450 horsepower and have ranges of between 385 and 475 miles. Additionally, they include fast charging capabilities that enable a 10 to 80 percent battery top-up in just 13 minutes, all-wheel drive, and four-wheel steering.

If you anticipate seeing Jaguar’s recognisable leaping cat logo on these new models, reconsider. In keeping with what Land Rover has been doing, the company has chosen to have its name written out in a modern font. Jaguar is obviously focused on the future rather than the past because it even eliminated the rear windows in favour of digital mirrors.

While the four-door GT is anticipated to be introduced in 2019, no information has been released about the XJ or the SUV that will compete with the Bentley Bentayga. One thing is for sure, though: by 2025, Jaguar’s present lineup will be history, making way for a fleet that is radically modern and innovation-focused rather than traditional.

It’s a bold strategy with benefits and hazards. But if Jaguar succeeds, they might establish a new benchmark for what an interior and exterior of a luxury electric vehicle should look like. And it appears that the future is the best time for Jaguar.
