Interior of New Ola Electric Car Revealed: Touchscreen and Steering Wheel

Ola Electric is embarking on an ambitious mission to become the de facto EV manufacturer. No matter how many wheels an electric vehicle has, when we refer to a “EV maker,” we mean EVs in general. In September 2022, Ola leads the pack in terms of 2W EV retail sales. Can Ola accomplish the same feat in the 4W EV segment? Time will only tell.

Tata Motors currently leads the EV 4W segment with its Nexon EV and Tigor EV models. Tata Motors is likely to tighten its hold on this market for a very long time with the release of Tiago EV. Our in-depth analysis revealed that Tiago EV even presents a competitive alternative to gasoline-powered vehicles at the price it is being offered.

Future Ola Car’s Interior Is Teased

    Ola

Mahindra’s XUV400 will soon join Ola Electric in leaving the area of the 4W EV segment where Tata currently dominates. Ola will instead make an attempt at a more upscale area. Bhavish Aggarwal, CEO of Ola, promises to build the sportiest car ever made in India. The interior of the upcoming Ola car has now been teased. Let’s look at it. It is immediately clear from one glance at the interior of the upcoming Ola car that the company is going for a minimalist aesthetic. Most EV manufacturers follow this trend to give their products a futuristic appearance. This is also an effort to draw a line between it and modern vehicles. Although the functionality isn’t as great, I like the way it looks.

According to a study, buttons and knobs beat minimalism every day of the year. Ola has maintained it in line with current standards. Not quite a wheel, the steering wheel. It isn’t quite round in this regard. Despite this, I much prefer this to the wildly unusual steering yoke that Tesla’s Plaid Editions receive.

It has a positioning steering layout of 9 to 3. We also have vertical rockers and touch-sensitive panels on either side that make me think of my Blackberry. We have a horn pad in the centre that houses the driver’s airbag and has Ola branding on it. Unlike the branding on Mahindra’s upcoming BE series cars, the Ola logo is not illuminated.

A touchscreen infotainment screen with a horizontal layout is teased for the dashboard layout. It aligns with the somewhat rectangular steering wheel. not in the driver’s line of sight, but it has an appealing appearance. Much more useful would be a free-standing unit mounted on top of the dashboard.

    Exterior Design

Ola appears to have drawn a lot of inspiration from the Lucid Air-competing Tesla Model S. The upcoming Ola car incorporates everything in a similar way, from the vertical aerodynamic winglets to the horizontal LED bar. We have LED headlights that are built into a stylish unit and mounted on top of this LED bar. We have only received digital renderings as a tease. At the 2023 Auto Expo, a real-world prototype model is most likely to be on display. This particular teaser withholds a lot of information. However, based on previous teasers from Ola, our rendering artist Pratyush Raut has written down his interpretation of the upcoming car. It will look like a coupe and have a tonne of impressive stats. This is the culmination of an ambitious project that Ola has undertaken, with designing and batteries being handled in-house.
