Samsung India has said that it is collaborating with carrier partners and would release OTA upgrades for all of its 5G devices by mid-November so that they will function with Airtel and Reliance Jio’s 5G networks. This follows Apple’s announcement.
The 5G versions of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 series should also be included since Samsung has acknowledged them as gadgets.
In eight Indian locations, Airtel’s non-standalone 5G Plus network went live earlier this month. The corporation provided a list of the gadgets that will work with its network’s 5G services. The S22 series and the newest foldables are among the newest Samsung phones, but the S21 series, earlier foldables, and other models will need to be updated as well.
The standalone (SA) architecture-based 5G service from Reliance Jio just went live in beta in four locations. According to the business, it will gradually expand as more cities become ready.
According to a spokesman for Samsung India, the 5G update for its smartphones will include:
Since 2009, Samsung has been a leader in the development of 5G technology and has taken the lead in its global standardisation. Samsung has the largest selection of 5G devices in India. We are dedicated to delivering out OTA upgrades across all of our 5G devices by mid-November 2022, giving Indian consumers a seamless 5G experience. We are actively collaborating with our operator partners to achieve this goal.
