At its Innovation event yesterday, Intel showcased a wide range of cutting-edge technology, with the new Raptor Lake desktop processors, Arc A770 graphics card, and a rollable display serving as the event’s standouts. Other Raptor Lake processors, such as the Core i9-13900KS, which would be released in a small number later in the year, were also hinted at in the teaser. It is an enhanced version of the already outstanding Core i9-13900K and, as its name suggests, can supposedly raise its P-cores to 6.0 GHz right out of the box. The processor benchmarks have already come on Bilibili (via HXL).
When the Intel Core i9-13900KS test sample was put through CPU-single- Z’s and multi-core benchmarks, it received scores of 928 and 18,453, respectively. Unfortunately, none of its essential details are provided here, although we can see that it has 32 threads. If the release cycle from the previous year is any indication, the processor will have the same number of cores as the Core i9-13900K (8P plus 16E). It will probably use a lot more energy and overclock way past the enchanted 8 GHz mark.
As anticipated, the Intel Core i9-13900KS outperforms the AMD Ryzen 9 7950X (790/16,000) and Intel Core i9-13900K (900/17,000) by a significant margin. However, the latter is infamous for doing poorly in CPU-Z, so it may be best to wait till further benchmarks are released before drawing any firm judgments. It will soon be reviewed in full by some intrepid Bilibili maker like Extreme Player as Raptor Lake has become one of the most leaked lineups ever.
