At The Alexa And Ring Event Being Conducted By Amazon New Echo Smart Speakers Should Be Available

At the time of writing, Amazon has announced that it would conduct an event for its devices, services, and Ring products on September 28 at 12 PM ET / 5 PM BST (2 AM AEST, September 29).

The occurrence is not entirely unexpected. Around this time every year, Amazon frequently announces new products; similar events are planned for 2020 and 2021. According to its past performance, we can anticipate the retail behemoth to introduce new models of its best smart speaker line, the Amazon Echo, and given that it called Ring by name, we assume we’ll also witness the introduction of a new best video doorbell or best home security camera.

It might also give us a sign about the kinds of deals we can anticipate seeing at its Prime Early Access Sale (also known as Prime Day 2), which will take place in October and serve as a lead-up to its Black Friday 2022 sale. For instance, if Amazon releases a new Echo Dot, the older ones would likely be heavily discounted during the following sale.

What do you suppose will be announced then?

    Expect the predictable

Although Amazon hasn’t specifically stated what it would be showcasing, we can make some educated assumptions.

The Amazon Echo Show lineup as a whole received an update during the Amazon event in 2021, with the introduction of the Amazon Echo Show 5 (2nd Gen), Amazon Echo Show 8 (2nd Gen), and Amazon Echo Show 15. Similar to last year, we anticipate additional announcements from Echo this year, but for its more conventional smart speakers.

New variants of the Amazon Echo and Echo Dot are unquestionably due in 2020. Depending on how you want to look at it, these replaced their predecessors after only a year, making some new versions already a year behind schedule.

A new Echo and Echo Dot would also make sense given that Amazon frequently announces new Echo models at these events, as we have seen in the past.

Given that Amazon notably included Ring in its description of its September 28 event, we’ll probably also hear something about Ring in addition to Echo.

We may see a lot from the security business acquired by Amazon, Ring, given many of its products haven’t been updated in a while.

Additionally, even though we haven’t received any updates regarding a Blink launch, it’s completely feasible that Amazon’s other security company may also make an appearance with new goods.

Alternatively, Amazon might astonish everyone by releasing a brand-new Echo, Ring, or Blink device. We’ll just have to wait and see. Really, there haven’t been any leaks or signals to let us know what’s going on.

    One more (odd) thing…

    Amazon

Amazon loves to debut stranger things at these events in addition to its more conventional device releases.

To match the Mickey Mouse and Grogu case(opens in new tab) we currently have, on the lesser end of the spectrum, we’ll undoubtedly see it introduce a new wacky casing for its Echo smart speakers. This stand would most certainly work with any new Echo devices that Amazon releases, and it would presumably tie into yet another Disney property. However, it may also draw inspiration from one of the best Prime Video series, such as Rings of Power.

Maybe there will be an update on Astro, the adorable robot that Amazon had intended to be our house’s bodyguard and assistant, but that vanished soon after it was revealed.

After its release, all we’ve heard is that Astro is unsafe and prone to accidents, according to an alleged internal memo that was leaked, which Amazon disputed in a response to us. Perhaps Amazon will want to set aside some time during the event this year to remind us of Astro, give us an update on its progress, and insist that the robot isn’t a small threat.

All of that, though, is really our best guess; to learn for sure what Amazon will be announcing, keep an eye out for our live coverage of the event and our reviews when we’ve had a chance to use the new products first-hand.
