The first smartwatch to bear the Nord name, the OnePlus Nord Watch, has started to receive information from OnePlus. India is currently the focus of the teaser campaign, which today unveiled the basic specifications of the display.
It will have a 1.78″ diagonal with a resolution of 368 x 448 pixels. This AMOLED panel will have a maximum brightness of 500 nits to enhance outdoor legibility. You can also tell from this image that there will be a side digital crown.
Starting today, OnePlus will periodically provide a fresh piece of information regarding the Nord Watch. We’re not quite sure what will happen on September 22, but on September 24 it will reportedly unveil the display refresh rate (60Hz), followed by information regarding the exercise modes (105 modes, apparently) on September 26 and female health tracking on September 28.
Following then, the teasers will stop, presumably after the watch is completely revealed.
One thing to keep in mind is that many renders of at least four Nord watch types, some of which were round like the OnePlus Watch and others of which were rectangular like the one shown here, surfaced back in August. Is that the topic of the September 22 reveal’s circles? This Thursday, we’ll get the results.
