Microsoft Surface Studio 3 Might Be A Move At Apple iMac

Microsoft may be getting ready to announce the Surface Studio 3 all-in-one PC at a gathering in October 2022, it appears.

When invitations for the event, which is scheduled for October 12, 2022, started to arrive, a lot of attention was paid to the potential appearance of the Surface Pro 9 or Surface Laptop 5. But as Windows Latest notes(opens in new tab), Microsoft might release some more specialised products, including a potential Surface Studio 3.

This claim originates from a recently released Federal Communications Commission (FCC) document in which Microsoft specifies a “Desktop Computer” that might be branded with the Surface. Although there is no more information available, it is generally believed that this could suggest the presence of the Surface Studio 3.

Analysis: Can Microsoft really take on Apple?

    Microsoft

All-in-one desktop PCs, such as those in Microsoft’s Surface Studio family, have computer components integrated into a display, making them a practical and space-saving substitute for conventional desktop computers.

The Apple iMac is arguably the most well-known all-in-one computer, and Microsoft obviously intended for its Surface Studio products to challenge Apple’s hegemony in this market. The Surface Studio family, however, failed to have an impact on customers despite receiving favourable reviews from critics (our Surface Studio 2 review is especially kind). That it was so expensive in comparison to its competitors didn’t help.

Since the 2018 introduction of the Surface Studio 2, Microsoft has not produced a successor. Apple has since introduced a number of new iMacs, including a new 24-inch iMac with a stylish and vibrant new look.

Therefore, Microsoft has a lot of catching up to do if it is planning a new Surface Studio 3. We would like to see cutting-edge parts without an outrageous price tag. The Surface Studio has always been targeted for creative professionals, but if Apple undercuts it with the more widely used iMac on pricing, Surface Studio won’t catch on. On October 12, hopefully, we’ll discover more.
