Mahindra Has Teased Its All-Electric XUV400 SUV Ahead Of Its September 8 Reveal

Mahindra future electric SUV’s first teaser gives us a glimpse of its front aspect.

    • The XUV300 electric will be renamed XUV400.
    • The copper “Twin Peaks” emblem and the updated grille insert are shown in the teaser.
    • The XUV400 will be over four metres long.
    • Powertrain specs will probably be compared to the Tata Nexon EV.
    • to be made known on September 8, 2008.
    • The little electric SUV from Mahindra, the XUV400, has been first teased. The electric SUV, which is expected to be unveiled on September 8, will be longer than the sub-4-meter limit because electric vehicles are not subject to taxation below four metres.
    • The front fascia can be seen in the teaser showing off Mahindra’s new “Twin Peaks” emblem completed in copper, which was initially seen on the XUV.e8. The insignia will be completed in copper on all electric SUVs with the “Twin Peaks” name. The headlamps on the EV appear to be the same as those on the XUV300, but they don’t have DRLs that extend all the way to the bumper like those on the ICE model, which suggests there will be some design modifications. The grille insert has also been updated.

The difference will be most noticeable in the side profile because the electric SUV will be about 200mm longer than the ICE variant. You can anticipate better cargo capacity and a better executed rear profile because the majority of that length will be added behind the rear wheels. The style will be completed by a revised set of LED tail lamps like those shown in earlier spy photos.

Although we haven’t yet seen the XUV400’s inside, we can report that it will be fully equipped with features like a big touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a sunroof, dual zone climate control, cruise control, and keyless entry with push button start. Multiple airbags, electronic stability control, and ISOFIX child seat mounts should all be present for safety.

Here are the precise specifications of the Tata Nexon EV Prime and Nexon EV Max as a point of comparison because the technical details are still under wraps but we anticipate numbers to be benchmarked against its competitor, the Nexon EV:

    Battery Capacity30.2kWh 40.5kWh

The starting price of Mahindra’s forthcoming electric SUV is anticipated to be approximately Rs 15 lakh (ex-showroom). It will compete with more expensive models like the MG ZS EV and Hyundai Kona Electric as well as the Tata Nexon EV.
