Review Of The Logitech POP Keys Wireless Keyboard

Recently, Logitech India debuted their newest MX Mechanical keyboard in India, but the company also makes a portable wireless mechanical keyboard that focuses more on aesthetics and style. The Logitech POP Keys wireless keyboard, which comes in a series with the Logitech POP Mouse and features emoji buttons that can be customised, is a keyboard that social media users will adore. The keyboard’s features include fluid mechanical keys, programmable emoji buttons, a unique and small design aesthetic, and multi-device compatibility. In our review of the Logitech POP Keys, we go into detail about the wireless keyboard.

    Design, Build, & Ergonomics

     Logitech POP

Due to its mechanical architecture, the Logitech Jump Keys keyboard, like the POP Mouse, has vibrant design aesthetics with circular keys that pop out from the base. Its colour scheme is similar to that of the POP Mouse, and although it weighs 779 grammes (with batteries) and is portable, you can still take it in your laptop bag.

The POP Keys is more of a style keyboard than a typical traditional design, and it already has a pleasing appearance. Your workplace will have a distinctive identity thanks to the keyboard, which, when combined with the POP Mouse, creates the ideal set. The POP Keys are available in three vibrant colour schemes: “Daydream,” which combines mint, lilac, and sunshine yellow with a hint of fresh mojito for a candy aesthetic; “Blast,” which combines black, grey, and arcade game yellow; and “Heartbreaker,” which features neon corals and crushed raspberry for a colour scheme.

The POP Keys keyboard boasts matte-finish keys and a body constructed of premium recycled plastic for a sturdy construction and endurance. The keycaps are theme-colored, well-designed, and have enough space between them to accommodate your larger fingers with ease. The mechanical architecture of the keyboard, which provides slick typing feedback, is one of its main selling points. Your typing speed will increase thanks to the mechanical construction of the keyboard, which also features precise, stable, and deep key travel.

As you can see, the keyboard is not full-sized, therefore it lacks a Numpad; however, the standard-sized keyboard has keys that are as big as those on a desktop computer. For some users, the lack of backlighting illumination could be a problem. There are no batteries incorporated into the keyboard; instead, two AAA batteries are required to power it. I think it’s fantastic that you can stop worrying about wired charging.

The keyboard can be cleaned more effectively because the keys are simply removed by pulling them off. Four additional replacement emoji keys are provided in case you want to use the keyboard’s selection of well-known emojis. The F1, F2, and F3 keys, which are used to switch between different linked devices, have LED indicators visible. The Golden Esc key serves as the Fn key. The keyboard’s power switch is on the right side, while the battery compartment for the AA batteries is on the back.

According to Logitech, the POP Keys reduce carbon emissions and are created with post-consumer recycled plastic in a percentage of 29% for Heartbreaker, Daydream, and Mist, 27% for Cosmos, and 46% for Blast.

    Performance, Features & Connectivity

     Logitech POP

The Logitech POP Keys keyboard has a number of features, including a mechanical design for a smooth typing experience, replaceable keys, customizable emoji buttons, the ability to pair with multiple devices and connect the keyboard with a quick switch, multi-OS compatibility for Windows, Mac, and ChromeOS connectivity, and Logi Option.

The mechanical keys are comfortable, they provide you the flexibility to type more, the typing feedback is simply incredible and too smooth, so you can type in with ease and increase your workflow productivity. The keys are precise, have enough resistance, and are stable, so you can type much more quickly. The keyboard’s deep key travel makes typing easier. Once you get your hands on the keyboard, you’ll want to type more and more because our experience with it was so seamless.

The POP Keys has eight swappable emoji keys that you can simply combine and match to suit your mood, so it makes sense that you are feeling whichever emotion you are—happy, angry, or in love. When chatting with pals, you can touch the emoji menu key to select from the entire selection of emojis or apply these to any current emoji you like using the Logi Options+ software. It has 12 new FN keys that you can use to quickly perform tasks like snipping the screen, starting voice-to-text, muting your microphone during a lengthy meeting, and more.

All of the major operating systems, including Windows, macOS, Chrome OS, Linux, iPadOS, iOS, and Android, are compatible with the keyboard. For basic use, the keyboard is plug-and-play and doesn’t need any software to be installed; you may connect it through Bluetooth pairing or USB receiver. It has one fantastic feature: using Bluetooth pairing or the bundled Logi Bolt USB Receiver, you can quickly pair and switch between three devices max with the touch of a button.

The Logitech Logi Options+ desktop software, which must be installed separately on your PC to use the keyboard capabilities, assists the keyboard. The Logi Options+ software gives you access to keyboard capabilities such as customising the emoji button, switching to the associated devices, assigning applications or tasks to the buttons, assigning functions and shortcuts to the keys, and using Logi Flow. There are Windows and macOS versions of the Logi Options+.

The POP Keys can effortlessly switch between up to three connected devices at the touch of a button and can be connected through Bluetooth to your PC or tablet. Additionally, you may enable Flow using the Logi Options+ programme to easily copy and paste text, images, and files between devices. If you are working on several devices at once, it is pretty useful.

    Battery Life

     Logitech POP

The Logitech POP Keyboard connects through Bluetooth and a USB Receiver and is powered by two AAA batteries. This means that the keyboard doesn’t have a built-in battery; instead, two AAA batteries are required to power the gadget. This is good, in my opinion, because you can avoid the hassle of connected charging and just use two AAA-sized batteries instead of charging it.

According to Logitech India, depending on your keyboard usage and usage habits, the POP Keys can last up to 3 years or 36 months. The keys can withstand up to 50 million strokes, which is a lot, so there is still plenty of time to change the batteries. The battery can be readily accessed from the back and incorporates auto-sleep power-saving technology, extending battery life.

    Verdict – Logitech POP Keys

     Logitech POP

The Logitech POP Keys isn’t only small and portable; it’s also simple to use, provides a wonderful typing experience, and has fun features like emoji keys that can be customised and multi-device compatibility. The wireless keyboard is made for those who value flair; it provides your desk area a distinctive, vibrant appearance. Due to its mechanical construction, it is also suitable for individuals who prefer a fluid typing experience and comfort when typing. The keyboard can be charged for up to three years using just two AAA batteries, and it may be connected wirelessly by Bluetooth and a USB receiver. You have the choice to connect thanks to the keyboard’s small size, mechanical keys, customisable emoji buttons, and multi-device capabilities.

we would miss the keyboard’s backlit illumination keys. The Logitech POP Keys wireless keyboard has a starting price of $9,995 and is an excellent option if you want a portable mechanical keyboard with a stunning design and dedicated emoji buttons for your social media.
