TWRP, also known as the Team Win Recovery Project, is a user-friendly interface for flashing GApps packages, root zips, and custom ROMs. We will thus use TWRP version 2.8+ as per the advice of the people at GetDroidTips.
- To the SD card storage on your smartphone, download the GApps zip file bundle. If you are having trouble saving the file to your SD card, store it somewhere else, but keep track of the location.
- Select the install option once you’ve booted into the TWRP recovery screen.
- The GApps zip package you just downloaded should be selected.
- Installing can begin.
- After finishing, select wipe Dalvik cache as well.
