Over the past few years, Mental Health has gained prominence as more people take the necessary actions to enhance their general outlook and process personal trauma. I’ve been in therapy for years, but when my therapist took August off, it was the ideal opportunity to try out Neurocycle. This software asked me to monitor my mental processes while I was at home with my phone, utilising technology for good.
What to know about the app.
A 63-day course to increase awareness and improve your mental health is available through the Neurocycle app from communication pathologist and cognitive neuroscientist Caroline Leaf, Ph.D. It asks you questions about how your habits are affecting your anxiety, whether you are aware of your thought cycle, and other introspective concepts. According to a recent YouTube video by Leaf, “[This is] the first ever scientifically tested brain detox app, found to help lower anxiety and sadness by up to 81%.”
For “soothing your inner child,” centering yourself, and igniting creativity, the app provides small neurocycles and decompression instructions. A calendar is also provided to chart your progress as you travel through the programme in several mental health domains.
As someone who meticulously records almost every part of their lives, from the movies they watch to the books they read, it’s gratifying to be able to trace the development of their mental health. This information is readily available in a single app.
