One of the biggest two- and three-wheeler manufacturers in the world is Bajaj Auto. Its Pulsar model, called “The Fastest Indian,” is genuinely amazing and has done wonders for the business in the street bike market. However, it currently offers the 100cc and 110cc CT and Platina series for the commuter market.
While Bajaj is entering the 300-500cc mid-size motorcycle market with Triumph Motorcycles, the company previously had the Discover series of Harry Potter-inspired commercials and the XCD125, both of which are no longer produced. Even the Discover 150F had a bikini fairing. The Discover series also included 150cc engines. Oh my, they were wild times. But up until this point, Bajaj had no products in the 125cc budget commuter sector.
New Bajaj CT125X
Recall the Bajaj CT110X that was introduced in India? It had various characteristics that made it easy to tell it apart from the standard CT110. It was 7,000 rupees more expensive than an ordinary CT110 and exuded an oddly endearing atmosphere. Bajaj has made an effort to provide something special that was unavailable elsewhere in the nation.
That is a commuter car that has been ruggedized. Using the same formula, Bajaj has since introduced the CT125X, which sports a 125cc engine in place of the 110cc engine found in the CT110X. It comes with a little visor that is a stretch for a cheap commuter motorcycle and a particularly attractive headlight cowl that also contains the ‘V’-shaped LED DRL. However, it lacks the related elements seen in Hero’s Glamour XTEC.
For further toughness, a metal guard is added to the circular headlight, and fork gaiters are added to the front telescopic suspension. Rubber tank pads are also included in the CT lineup’s X variants, such as the CT110X and CT125X, for improved grip. They have a decent luggage rack in the back as well as a rather sizable grab rail for the back pillion.
Halogen bulbs are used for the vehicle’s headlights, taillights, and turn signals. The Bajaj CT125X also has rubber grips on the side crash guard, analogue instruments, twin shock absorbers at the back, a luggage carrier above the exhaust to prevent the goods from burning, and a blacked-out effect on the entire motorcycle, barring body panels.
Specs & launch
The exact engine specifications are yet unknown. because a 125cc commuter is not available from Bajaj. The CT125X is probably going to have the same 11.6 horsepower and 11 Nm 125cc engines as the Pulsar 125 and Pulsar NS125. We say this because the Discover 125’s 125cc engine from Bajaj, designed for affordable commuters, also produced 11 horsepower and 11 Nm. In contrast to CT110X, which receives a 4-speed gearbox, it is also anticipated to receive a 5-speed manual transmission. The 110cc engine on the CT110X produces 8.5 horsepower and 9.81 Nm.
Even with all the upgrades, the CT110X is still less expensive than the Honda CD 110 Dream, TVS Radeon, TVS Star City Plus, Splendor Plus, and similar vehicles at Rs. 66,000. The CT125X is probably going to cost approximately Rs. 80,000. It competes with the Honda Shine, Hero Super Splendor, Hero Glamour, and Honda SP 125 at this pricing.
