New Maruti Alto K10 begin at Rs. 11,000

The Maruti Alto K10 will draw inspiration from the current-generation Celerio and incorporate some of its features.

On August 18, 2022, the Maruti Alto K10, one of the more well-liked low-cost hatchbacks, will get an update. It will have some new exterior and interior elements, and because of its larger size, it will be set up on the new modular Heartect platform.

The Maruti Suzuki S-Presso, Celerio, Baleno, and Ertiga are also positioned on this platform. Today, Maruti Suzuki announced that reservations for the new Alto K10 were now available. Alongside the existing Alto 800, the Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 will be on sale in 2022. There will be a total of 12 variations available, 8 of which include manual transmission options. These variants are STD, STD(O), LXI, LXI(O), VXI, VXI(O), VXI+, and VXI+ (O). 4 automated variations will be VXI, VXI(O), VXI+, and VXI+(O).

    2022 Maruti Alto K10 – Dimensions, Features

Alto K10, which will debut in 2022, will be bigger than the existing Alto. With a 2,380mm wheelbase, it will measure 3,530mm long, 1,490mm wide, and 1,520mm high, adding 20mm to its wheelbase to make it 85mm longer and 45mm taller. It comes with a 177-liter boot and a petrol tank with a 17-liter capacity. Unloaded, the ground clearance is 160 mm.

The front profile will take design cues from the Grand Vitara, while the exteriors will mirror those of the Celerio and Alto 800. Six colour options—Solid White, Granite Grey, Silky White, Sizzling Red, Speedy Blue, and Earth Gold—are shown in leaked photographs. It will have a front grille that is hexagonal with chrome elements, oval halogen headlamps, and LED DRL bars and wheel covers on steel rims.

The upcoming Alto K10 will have an all-black interior and features amenities like power window buttons mounted on the dashboard, a digital instrument panel, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual front airbags, rear parking sensors, and manual air conditioning. Four power windows, a remote key, electrically adjustable ORVMs, dual front airbags, rear parking sensors, and ABS are also included as standard features.

    Engine and Transmission Options

The engine used to power the Celerio and S-Presso will also be used to power the Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 in 2022. The 1.0 litre K10C DualJet petrol engine produces 89 Nm of torque and 67 horsepower at 3,500 revolutions per minute. A 5 speed manual or AMT gearbox is connected to the engine. Additionally, the business might provide a CNG variant of the new Alto K10. The new Alto K10, which is marketed as a low-cost hatchback, may have a somewhat higher price tag than the Alto 800 and its predecessor. In its segment, it will compete with the Renault Kwid. According to Mr. Shashank Srivastava, Senior Executive Officer (Marketing & Sales), Maruti Suzuki India Limited, “Alto is the most influential automobile brand with over 4.32 million customers.”
