Since Honda is the brand of scooters that sells the most in India, it is currently the go-to option. When scooter sales data is examined, Activa outsells all other scooters in India. It alone sells more scooters than the next eight scooters with the highest sales combined. Activa is currently available in 6G form and is extremely popular. Without even giving it a second thought, my family bought one. It is really well-liked. In India, scooterization is equated with Honda. We expected the Forza 350 maxi-scooter to debut in India rather than the bland-appearing CB300F street bike that was introduced yesterday.
New Honda Activa 7G
The Activa 6G and Activa 125 are the two models now offered by Honda. Dio, the sporty twin of Activa 6G, recently received limited edition color schemes to add even more swag to an already swagger scooter. The Grazia, which presents itself as the sportier alternative to the Activa 125, likewise carries the same implication. Honda just posted a fresh teaser on social media, along with the words “Coming Soon.” A scooter’s face is visible. Although the scooter is greyed out, its face is still recognizable. It is an Activa regular model rather than an Activa 125. We can be certain of this because the Activa 125 lacks the front turn indicators that typically accompany the headlamp.
They are instead located on a chrome beltline that is above the front mudguard. However, the new teaser reveals that the regular Activa will have front turn indicators surrounding its headlights. As a result, Honda appears to be preparing Activa 7G for the holiday season to increase already record-breaking sales. The information that could be gleaned from the teaser is rather mild, therefore not much is known about Activa 7G. However, in typical Honda tradition, more teasers are shortly to come.
What To Expect?
Honda 7G is not likely to provide a substantial upgrade over 6G the way 6G did over 5G. because BS6 transition and a number of new improvements were brought by Activa 6G. It’s expected that the 110cc engine that powers the Activa 7G will also produce 7.68 horsepower and 8.79 Nm. There will be minor updates to Activa 7G from 6G. All the benefits of the Honda Activa 6G, including fuel economy, trunk space, 692 mm seat height, low step-through floor board, silent starter motor, and many more, will be included in the Honda Activa 7G. Even a fuel filler cap that the next Hero sporty 125cc bike will be missing will be added to it.
With the Deluxe variant on the Activa 6G, Honda may make the semi-digital instrument cluster and LED headlights standard equipment on the Activa 7G. Since it is a generational upgrade, the engine of the Activa 7G can also receive minor modifications to make it somewhat more fuel-efficient. On the Fascino and Ray ZR, Yamaha offers a mild hybrid system, and Honda might incorporate a similar system on the most popular scooter in India. It’s conceivable that the Japanese brand will also increase the cost. Presently, the TVS Jupiter 110, Hero Pleasure+, Hero Maestro Edge 110, and Honda’s own Dio are competitors of the Activa 6G, which costs Rs. 73K for the Standard trim and Rs. 75K for the Deluxe trim.
