    Design & Build

    Xiaomi

The Xiaomi 360 Home Security Camera 1080p 2i shares many aesthetic features with its elder sibling, including a sleek ball-shaped matte-finished design for the camera, which spins both vertically and horizontally along with the base. The polycarbonate body of the gadget gives it the appearance of being solid.

A speaker grill, a power-input micro-USB connector, and rubber grips are all located on the back. The camera has a reset button and a microSD card slot that can be accessed by sliding the camera lens upward. The camera revolves 108 degrees vertically and 110 degrees horizontally from its base.

    Camera Performance & Features

A 2 MP, 110-degree wide-angle lens on the Xiaomi 360 Home Security Camera 1080p 2i allows a 360-degree vision. The camera has two motor heads, which allow it to swivel and record a 108-degree vertical view in addition to a 360-degree horizontal view. The camera has features including people identification, infrared night vision, two-way real-time calls, motion-triggered video clips, sleep mode, and support for Alexa and Google Assistant.

The camera is simple to install, may be set upright or upside down, and requires a power connection in addition to the camera because it operates on DC input (5V, 2A). To set up and operate the camera, attach it to the power supply and download the Mi Home app to your phone. and employ its functions. Since the Xiaomi 360 camera only supports Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n 2.4 GHz connectivity and not 5 GHz, you must switch to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network in order to utilize it.

    Xiaomi

On your phone using the Mi Home app and, on your computer, using the Xiaomi Camera Viewer for the desktop, both of which are free to download from Xiaomi’s website, you can view live video of your house. Up to 4 screens can simultaneously view the camera’s live streaming video. The audio output only occurs when a single-camera screen view is active, not when it is active on several displays. You can open the Mi Home app from the Patch Wall User Centre to see on TV and operate the camera using a TV remote (specific to MiTVs & Xiaomi TVs).

The camera keeps the video on a microSD card with a maximum capacity of 32 GB, which you must insert separately. You do have more alternatives for saving your home surveillance; if you want to preserve a backup, you can upload to the cloud as well as use NAS (Network Attached Storage) storage. The camera captures films in 1080p with the H.265 codec. Additionally, motion-triggered video clips are captured; depending on the settings, the camera may be triggered every three to thirty minutes.

For improved night vision and crisp photos at night, the camera contains inconspicuous 940 nm infrared LEDs. The image sensor shows the video in color in low light for a detailed perspective. The camera has been improved in a number of ways, including the addition of an AI person detecting capability that efficiently eliminates false alarms and increases accuracy.

You can use the camera’s calling functionality to talk to people in the room while using the two-way real-time calls feature. You can use this function to make two-way voice calls in real-time from anywhere, which gives you the convenience of doing so. You can operate the camera using voice commands thanks to the camera’s support for popular voice assistants like Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa.
