According to the most recent leak, the Samsung Galaxy Watch5 will charge far faster than its predecessor. According to Tut Snoopy Tech, Samsung is including a 10W magnetic charger with the wearable, doubling the max charging rate of the Watch4.
However, we anticipate a larger battery in the Watch5, which combined with the charging curve restrictions makes it difficult to predict how much faster the Watch5 will really charge.
As expected, the photographs show that the charger cable is USB-C. Even though a smartwatch requires a lot of power (10W output), this is actually a conservative figure overall, thus nearly any PD charger should be able to deliver enough power.

The Galaxy Watch 5 fast charger will have a USB Type-C cable on one end and a magnetic charging pad on the other, as seen in this image. 9To5Google released a story in June citing the Galaxy Watch 5’s FCC listing. The source states that entries for the Galaxy Watch 5 with 10W charging are available in the FCC database.
It is safe to assume that the Galaxy Watch 5 will indeed include a 10W fast charger given that the tipster published photographs of the charger and a newspaper noticed the faster-charging speed two months ago.
