The Force Gurkha is positioned as an off-road lifestyle vehicle, a market that is now expanding steadily. Force Gurkha is currently experiencing an odd condition of existence. Only the 3-door version and the 4X4 model are available. A single engine option and 5-speed manual transmission are included in that one configuration. Neither a gasoline engine nor an automatic transmission are available. Additionally, a convertible roof is not an option. In addition to many more, Mahindra Thar gets all of the aforementioned benefits in addition to many more. First, thar is a well-sorted product made by a reputable PV manufacturer. It is the product that has revived interest in the lifestyle off-roader market. There they provide all these advantages. Force Motors, however, makes an effort to compete with Thar by modifying the Gurkha and adding five doors to make it more useful.
Force Gurkha 5 Door 9 Seat SUV Spied
The 3-Door Gurkha has a length of 4116mm, a width of 1812mm, and a height of 2075mm. It is 205mm high off the ground and has a wheelbase of 2400mm, giving it a very good break-over angle. Gurkha 5-Door will soon be longer to enable an additional row of seats. The top-spec 5-Door variant will have wider fenders and larger 255/60-R18 tyres mounted on 18″ alloy wheels, which will likely result in an increase in width as well. While the new spy photos show smaller steel wheels on lower-spec versions. Although the test mule for the Gurkha 5-Door featured captain seats in the third row, it was also spotted.
However, recent spy images show side-facing jump seats. Bolero Neo does not have single jump seats like this. As with the 9-seater Bolero Neo Plus, these are double seats instead. On the outside, it gets a snorkel, roof-mounted carrier, spare wheel positioned in the boot, rear washer-wiper, circular LED DRLs surrounding the headlights, indicators mounted on the bonnet that are modelled after the G-Class indicators, and more. But when compared to the Thar, the Gurkha feels a little more primitive on the inside. The front windows are motorized. Not much else is added to it other than an aftermarket Kenwood infotainment system with Apple Car play and Android Auto. The 2.6L turbo-diesel engine has a 2596cc displacement and produces 250 Nm of torque at 1400 RPM and 90 horsepower at 3200 RPM. This is coupled with a manual 5-speed transmission and a 4X4. Launch & Competition
Force Gurkha 3-Door, also known as the “Desi G-Wagon,” was introduced in September 2021 for Rs 13.59 Lakh. Moving ahead to 2022, Force Motors increased the Gurkha’s price to Rs 14.10 lakh in January 2022 by raising it by Rs 51,000. Force Motors increased the price again in April by Rs 39,000, bringing the total to Rs 14.49 lakh, even though it is quite rare for manufacturers to increase the price of their products this early after a fairly recent price increase. Gurkha 5-Door pricing is anticipated to be about a lakh higher than the 3-door model.
Force Future 5-Door Jimny and 5-Door Thar will compete with Gurkha 5-Door. Before Thar 5-Door, Force will unleash Gurkha 5-Door. We may anticipate the SUV’s arrival in the coming months as it already appears to be production-ready. But will it be enough to attract buyers looking for a 5-Door lifestyle off-roader? Time will only tell.
