Three new electric scooters have been introduced in India by the Indian EV brand EVeium, owned by the UAE-based Elysium Automotives. The Cosmo, Comet, and Czar vehicles have ex-showroom India prices of Rs. 1.44 lakh, Rs. 1.92 lakh, and Rs. 2.16 lakh, respectively. Less than a month ago, the brand was formally introduced in India.
With a 2kW motor, the Cosmo electric scooter can reach top speeds of 65 kmph and has a stated range of 80 kilometers.
The 30Ah Lithium-ion battery pack for the Cosmo, according to the manufacturer, can be fully charged in just four hours. The scooter is also offered in five stylish colours: Bright Black, Cherry Red, Lemon Yellow, White, Blue, and Grey.
The 3kW motor on the EVeium Comet e-scooter allows it to reach a top speed of 85 kmph. The 50Ah battery pack is advertised as having a 150km range and requiring four hours to fully charge. There are six different color options available for the Comet: Matt Black, Shiny Black, Wine Red, Royal Blue, Beige, and White.
The Eco, Normal, and Sport drive modes are available for all three scooters, which also have keyless entry, an anti-theft feature, an LCD display with mobile connectivity, and regenerative braking. Find My Vehicle, real-time tracking, over-speed alarm, and geofencing are further features available on smartphone apps. There is an additional reverse mode for the Comet and Czar. At EVeium stores in Pune, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Kozhikode, e-scooter reservations can be made for Rs 999.
The Czar has a trailing link front suspension with two rear shock absorbers, while the Cosmo and Comet’s underpinnings consist of a front telescopic fork and dual shock absorbers at the rear.
