Tamil Nadu Schoolgirl Suicide 2nd Autopsy Today

The father of the Class XII student has petitioned the Supreme Court in an effort to have a doctor of their choosing be a part of the team that performs the second autopsy.

In New Delhi: The second autopsy scheduled for later today has been rejected by the Supreme Court despite widespread protests over the murder of a schoolgirl from Tamil Nadu.

The father of the Class XII student has petitioned the Supreme Court, pleading for the panel conducting the second post-mortem examination to include a physician of their choosing. The family of the girl has asked for an immediate hearing on the subject. It has been announced that the Supreme Court will hear the case tomorrow.

The family’s counsel would bring up the matter before the Chief Justice of India, a person close to the family earlier today informed NDTV. A second autopsy was ordered yesterday by the Madras High Court, but the parents’ desire to have a particular doctor on the medical panel was denied.

The youngster is said to have jumped off the third story of her hostel on July 13 at the campus of the private residential school in Kallakurichi, around 260 kilometers from Chennai. According to the police, a note discovered in her room claimed that she was failing numerous classes and that her teachers had treated her badly.

The girl’s family claims that the teachers bullied her mentally. Additionally, they believe that a bloodied palm mark on a wall close to where she was discovered dead indicates a violent altercation. The principal, the secretary, and the correspondent, along with two teachers, were all detained by the police.

The father of the girl’s daughter’s attorney argued the case in the highest court, saying, “Violence is prevalent in the state.
Post-mortem will be started today. Order a stay on it, please. We should have a doctor of our choice on the team.”

Chief Justice NV Ramana responded by saying, “HC is already involved in the situation. Don’t you believe the HC?” The Supreme Court rejected the request for a stay made by the attorney. The girl’s death has provoked widespread outrage. On Sunday, demonstrators went on rampage, vandalized classrooms, and set fire to school buses as a peaceful demonstration outside the school’s campus descended into violence. Police have been tasked by the high court to prosecute the rioters harshly. For rioting, police have detained almost 300 individuals.

MK Stalin, the chief minister, has urged restraint.

Comments\s”Kallakurichi incidents have caused so much of anguish. Educational institutions must treat their students as if they were their own children. I forewarn you that if anything goes against this, we will have you appear in court and punish you. Taking advantage of this horrible event, several people banded together and broke the law. Everyone should understand that violence hinders development.
An inclusive Tamil Nadu can only exist in an atmosphere of peace “Mr. Stalin added.
