- WhatsApp offers an option to block annoying contacts, on both iOS and Android.
- But WhatsApp doesn’t offer any feature that alerts you when someone blocks you
On both iOS and Android, WhatsApp allows you to blacklist irritating contacts. Well, it’s possible that someone else has blocked you as well.
However, WhatsApp does not have a feature that notifies you when someone bans you. However, there are methods for determining whether or not someone has blocked you. While there are no sure-fire ways to figure out who blocked you on WhatsApp, the following suggestions will help you get a general notion.
Tip 1: Verify the last seen / online status.
If you could previously see someone’s online status or last seen but no longer can, it’s probable that the person has blocked you.
Tip #2: Examine your profile photo.
If you abruptly lose access to a contact’s profile photo, the person has most likely blocked you.
Sure, it’s conceivable they erased the profile photo, but blocking is also a possibility.
Tip 3: Check the status of message delivery.
If you are unsure whether someone has blocked you on WhatsApp, send them a message. If the message is not delivered, it could signify one of two things: 1) the contact has blocked you, or 2) the internet has been disabled.
However, if the message is not delivered at all, even after a day or two, the contact has most likely blocked you.
Tip 4: Contact the person.
If you have any doubts that someone has blocked you, phone them. Your call will not reach them if they have truly blocked you.
In other words, if the WhatsApp call does not indicate a “ringing” status, the person has most likely blocked you.
Tip 5: Form a WhatsApp group.
If you believe someone has blocked you on WhatsApp, consider creating a group. If you receive the warning “you are not authorized to add this contact,” it is possible that the contact has blocked you.
