Shazam software syncs music recognition history with iPhone and iPad devices

The iPhone and iPad versions of the famous music discovery service Shazam have been updated so that songs discovered via iOS’s Music Recognition function may now be synced between devices using the same Apple ID. Thanks to music recognition, which can be found in the Control Center on the iPhone, users can now more easily maintain track of their history of musical discovery.

Numerous people reportedly believed that the iOS 16 developer beta was required for the capability, but iOS 15-compatible iPhones can now access it as well.

Keep in mind that Apple bought Shazam in 2018 and integrated Music Recognition into iOS 14.2 in 2020. iPhone users didn’t need to download the Shazam app to hear what songs were playing nearby and in apps. Additionally, providing you have the Shazam app downloaded, you can now save songs you find using Siri or the Music Recognition feature so you may listen to the archive at a later time.

The ability to maintain track of music discovered via Music Recognition across devices that utilize the same Apple ID is another intriguing innovation. You may also link your Shazam and Apple Music applications to create a playlist of songs that were identified by Shazam and collected over time from multiple devices. However, this can be useful if you want to see all of your music in one place without downloading another app.
