For the first time, the college education department is conducting the admissions process online.
Beginning with this academic year, both graduate and postgraduate courses will use the same calendar. Last week, CN Ashwath Narayan, the state minister of higher education, announced on Monday that the admissions process for colleges and universities in Karnataka will start on July 11.
For the first time, the admissions procedures for every college would utilize the same platform (Unified University and College Management System). Students can apply to any college of their choice using a single login, eliminating the need to physically visit each campus.
Students recently expressed their displeasure and complaints about platform technical issues that were preventing their admissions process from moving forward when they applied for undergraduate programmed online at multiple state universities. The minister in charge of the education department underlined, however, that students can start applying on July 11 using the single login interface, which is currently error-free.
According to Narayan, caste certificates, income certificates, etc. can also be received by utilizing AADHAAR authentication, and information related to the marks card can be retrieved by entering the PUC register number.
