– Aprilia SR Max250 HPE breaks cover
– Powered by a 244cc engine with 25.8bhp
– India launches unlikely
In China, Aprilia debuted the High-Performance Edition of the ordinary model, the SR Max250 HPE. And as its name implies, it outperforms the latter in terms of functionality.
A 244cc, liquid-cooled engine producing a respectable 25.8bhp and 22.5Nm powers the Aprilia SR Max250 HPE. For contrast, we have the 278cc Keeway Vieste 300i, which is offered in India and produces 18.8 horsepower and 22 Nm.
The Aprilia SR Max250 HPE, however, has the appearance to match its performance. The front and side panels of the huge maxi-scooter have angular creases that give it an aggressive appearance. In addition, the combination of tinted headlamps gives the front end an angrier appearance. In addition, the SR Max250 has a sizable windscreen and what appear to be roomy seating for the rider and passenger.
The Aprilia SR Max250 HPE has an amazing feature list as well. It has two ride modes, Eco and Sport, and a seven-inch TFT instrument cluster. Additionally, you receive a sizable under-seat storage area and the traction control system from Aprilia as standard equipment. The 260mm front and 240mm rear discs work with a dual-channel ABS, and the suspension is managed by front telescoping forks, and a set of gas-charged shocks at the back.
The Aprilia SR Max250 HPE is currently available in China for the equivalent of Rs. 3.16 lakh. Although it is unlikely that the scooter would be introduced in India anytime soon, it is a compelling alternative and a worthy competitor to the recently released Keeway Vieste 300 and Sixties 300i in this country.
